I looked into her eyes today
She told me I’d be okay
That just because I couldn’t feel the wind anymore didn’t mean it wasn’t there
So I went outside
I took a deep breath and I asked the sky to make me a picture in the clouds
I gave away my time waiting
when I saw nothing I decided to pick up my feet and walk
I got there on time
I touched the tree and I asked her to sing to me but I remembered I had lost my hearing
I sat down at the base of her feet and I felt the grass beneath me
so I asked if I could float with my eyes closed
And as I waited I almost felt each blade of grass seep into my skin and take me away
But as soon as I sank I opened my eyes
I saw the sky move the clouds above the tree, where rain softly placed kisses on her forehead
The tree let me stay as she sang to me and finally I felt the wind wipe away my last tear.
